A series of position 4-substituted endomorphin-2 (Tyr-Pro-Phe-Phe-NH2) analogs containing 3-(1-naphthyl)-alanine (1-Nal) or 3-(2-naphthyl)-alanine (2-Nal) in L- or D-configuration, was synthesized. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the factors that might be associated with the patency rates of microsurgical vasoepididymostomy for idiopathic obstructive azoospermia.
METHODS: From January 2009 to July 2010, we evaluated the data from 73 men with obstructive azoospermia who had undergone longitudinal intussusception vasoepididymostomy. The mean age was 30.9±4.9 years (range 22-48). The outcomes were analyzed by the pre- or intraoperative clinical findings: epididymal fullness, unilateral or bilateral procedure, site of anastomosis, and epididymal fluid findings.
