The corrosion resistance of various nickel-containing alloys was measured in artificial sweat (perspiration) using the Tafel extrapolation method. Effects of various anti-inflammatory drugs on triple vaccine-induced pleurisy, a model of delayed hypersensitivity, were examined and compared with those on carrageenin-induced pleurisy in rats. One hundred sixty-two consecutive patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) were studied for possible association between HLA antigens, particularly DR antigens, and disease characteristics and adverse reactions to gold or D-penicillamine treatment.
