The isolation of dimeric to tetrameric procyanidins is achieved after removing the polymeric compounds by solvent precipitation. The enzyme inhibitors are usually designed by taking into consideration the overall dimensions of the enzyme's active site pockets. This conventional approach often fails to produce desirable affinities of inhibitors for their cognate enzymes. A method was developed for preparing N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS)-activated silica for use in immobilizing human serum albumin (HSA) within HPLC columns. The mixture of psychotropic drugs aminazine, barbamylum and nitrazepam using ultraviolet (UV) spectrophotometric method was researched. As the solvent, most acceptable for identification and differentiation of these preparation was found 0.1N solution of sulphuric acid. By measuring the optical density of the solutions in different concentration the calibration diagrams for all preparations were made. The standard deviation, by determining the quantity of aminazine is 2.8; 4.0; 4.3; barbamylum--1.0; 2.5; 1.15; nitrazepam--2.64; 1.0; 1.35.

Using UV-vis spectrometrical measurements, equilibrium constants for NO transfer between S-nitroso-N-acetyl-penicillamine (SNAP) and different thiols as well as kinetic data for NO transfer from S-nitroso bovine serum albumin (BSANO) to thiols have been obtained. Methods were developed to quantify a series of nine homologous 5-n-alkyl-5-ethyl barbituric acids in 15 rat tissues. Tissue homogenates were spiked with one of four multicomponent mixtures (methyl to n-propyl, n-propyl to n-pentyl, n-pentyl to n-heptyl and n-pentyl to n-nonyl). OBJECTIVE: In this clinical trial we studied whether oral supplementation with D-alpha-tocopherol (alpha-Toc), L-ascorbic acid (Asc), or alpha-Toc combined with Asc influenced the solar simulated radiation (SSR) induced skin inflammation in healthy volunteers.
METHODS: We investigated the following groups in a prospective, randomized and placebo controlled study: Group (1) alpha-Toc 2 g/day, group (2) Asc 3 g/day, group (3) alpha-Toc 2 g/day combined with Asc 3 g/day, and group (4) placebo. Before and 50 days after supplementation we analyzed alpha-Toc and Asc concentrations in keratinocytes.
