Gallium-67 scans were performed on 32 patients with adult and childhood sarcomata as part of clinical staging studies. Gallium-67 scans proved to be highly accurate in assessing sites of disease in patients with malignant schwannoma, Ewing's sarcoma, and rhabdomyosarcoma. Gallium-67 scans were inaccurate in determining sites of disease in patients with other types of sarcomata. It is concluded that Gallium-67 scanning is a useful adjunct to clinical staging in selected patients with sarcomata.

Myxofibrosarcoma (MFS) is an aggressive sarcoma with a highly complex karyotype. Complete resection is the only curative treatment for MFS because it is refractory to chemotherapy. Myxofibrosarcoma (MFS) is one of the most common soft tissue sarcomas of elderly patients and has a predilection for the limbs. Herein, we report a previously undescribed variant of MFS showing epithelioid morphology. Seventeen cases diagnosed as epithelioid MFS were retrieved from the authors' files from among 570 cases of MFS.
