Esophageal lung (EL) is a highly rare anomaly, wherein the bronchus of a lung connects directly with the esophagus. Repeated lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI) is the hallmark of this condition. We present the clinical images of a 5-month-old boy who presented with repeated LRTI since birth. On evaluation, EL was diagnosed. Excision of the lung with abnormally communicating bronchus and primary repair of the esophagus was curative.

A 7-day-old neonate presented with a large intra-abdominal mass adherent to the hilum of the liver encasing the portal triad. During excision, the portal vein, hepatic artery, and common bile duct were injured. The repair was done promptly and needed massive blood transfusion. Histopathology revealed immature teratoma Grade III. Survival in neonate following total transection of portal triad is rare and has not been reported.

Tricuspid valve endocarditis in a structurally normal heart of child is extremely rare and mysterious disease, which may mimic several other illnesses. We are reporting here a six-year-old child who presented with prolonged fever and unusual auscultatory sound of tumor plop, later proven to having tricuspid valve endocarditis by 2D echocardiography. The patient underwent surgical excision of the vegetations with repair of the tricuspid valve leaflets with successful outcome.

Satisfactory reconstruction of the cheek involving the oral commissure is always challenging. A 64-year-old male patient underwent full-thickness repair of a cheek defect involving the oral commissure following excision of squamous cell carcinoma. Reconstruction was performed with a cheek skin flap combined with split masseter muscle transposition. This method was found to be useful for reconstructing the oral commissure with good functional and aesthetic results.

The hypopharyngeal mucosa is a thin, pliable lining, which often needs replacement after tumor excision, stenosis and fistulae. The pectoralis major flap (Ariyan and Krizek, 1977) has brought an element of safety and reliability to one-stage pharyngeal reconstruction. The major disadvantage of these flaps is their bulk (2). The vascularised fasciocutaneous flap (especially the radial forearm flap) is a good alternative to be used in pharyngeal repair.

The complications of electrical burn to the oral cavity include microstomia and cosmetic deformity. Surgical burn excision and repair by primary closure, skin grafts, or tongue flaps have recognized disadvantages. The use of intraoral fixed or removable appliances, or the extraoral facemask prosthesis, serves to maintain adequate commissure spacing and allows normal skin and mucosal healing to occur. Secondary commissuroplasties may be required after prosthetic management of the burn.

Transglabellar, transorbital approach through the bottom of the frontal sinus for tumours invading anterior skull base in presented. Exposure was improved by rhinectomy and lateral swing of the nose. This study was done to see the outcome of repair of rectourethral fistula (RUF) in different situations between 2002 and 2009 in Chittagong and Dhaka Medical College Hospitals. Chordee or ventral curvature of the penis is commonly associated with and occasionally without hypospadias. The usual recommended treatment is excision of the fibrous tissue that is responsible for the bowing. This results in a proximal retraction of the meatus.
