OBJECTIVE: To analyze the results of flexible ureterorenoscopy (F-URS) with holmium laser in the treatment of kidney stones with ectopic and fusion anomalies (horseshoe kidney and rotation anomalies).
METHOD: We reviewed data from 13 patients with fusion and ectopic renal anomalies that underwent F-URS from April 2011 to April 2017. We analyzed demographic and clinical data (age, gender, BMI, anatomical abnormality, location and dimension of the renal calculi) and perioperative data (method of treatment, stone-free rate, number of days with DJ catheter and perioperative complications).

We evaluated the short-term and long-term effects of the 1550 nm erbium:glass (Er:glass) fractional laser in the treatment of facial acne vulgaris. Mounier-Kuhn syndrome is a rare condition that combines tracheobronchomegaly (TBM) and severe tracheobronchomalacia. OBJECTIVE: We compared the surgical results between holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) and transurethral resection of the prostate (TUR-P) for the treatment of men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
METHODS: A total of 87 patients with symptomatic BPH were analysed. HoLEP was performed on 46 men (mean age 68.2 +/- 7.5 years old) from December 2005 to February 2007, and TUR-P was performed on 41 men (mean age 69.2 +/- 7.3 years old) from April 2004 to March 2006.

This report presents histologic results in humans following a laser-assisted new attachment procedure (LANAP) for the treatment of periodontal pockets. Six pairs of single-rooted teeth with moderate to advanced chronic periodontitis associated with subgingival calculus deposits were treated.
