UNLABELLED: Between 19% and 39% of patients with cancer pain suffer from neuropathic pain. Its diagnosis and treatment is still challenging. We collected data from 2070 patients who had undergone cholecystectomy for acute cholecystitis, investigating the circumstance of preoperative antimicrobial therapy. The duration of preoperative antimicrobial therapy was significantly longer in delayed cholecystectomy than early cholecystectomy (p<0.001). PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to perform a literature review and seek expert opinion on the relevance and strength of the evidence concerning setup and transfer performance.
METHODS: Scientific literature databases were searched until June 2009 using 43 keywords resulting in 339 articles. These were internally reviewed and narrowed to 41 articles which were formally assessed by 13 external experts. Articles that 80% or more of the reviewers scored as moderately or highly relevant were included in the final results.

BACKGROUND: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are widely used in the elderly. NSAIDs may cause a series of adverse drug reactions, of which gastrointestinal, renovascular/cardiovascular and bleeding complications are of particular concern. During the period 1989-2009, 14 new antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) were licensed for clinical use and these can be subdivided into new second- and third-generation AEDs. Pharmacodynamical differences between dopamine agonists (DAs) suggest differences in their adverse drug reactions (ADRs) profile. In this study, frequencies of ADR to DAs or levodopa reports in the French Pharmacovigilance Database were explored. BACKGROUND: Treatment of complex regional pain syndrome type I (CRPS-I) is subject to discussion. The purpose of this study was to develop multidisciplinary guidelines for treatment of CRPS-I.
METHOD: A multidisciplinary task force graded literature evaluating treatment effects for CRPS-I according to their strength of evidence, published between 1980 to June 2005.
