A case of an appendiceal carcinoid tumor with regional lymph-node metastases is presented. The size of the tumor was remarkable, as the appendix was infiltrated throughout its length. The proximal part of the appendix was intussuscepted into the cecum. Preoperatively, the lesion was diagnosed as a polypoid tumor of the cecum. A primary right hemicolectomy was carried out.

The clinical and pathological findings in 200 consecutive cases of colorectal carcinoma treated by surgical resection have been recorded and subjected to computer analysis. BACKGROUND: This study aims to determine the uncommon causes of acute appendicitis in analyzed post appendectomy specimens.
METHODS: Histopathology reports of 6785 removed appendices were analyzed retrospectively in order to confirm the uncommon cause of acute appendicitis in single tertiary institution.

To investigate the pathology of gastric disorders, we compared the proteomic patterns of gastric juice from patients with various gastric disorders. In healthy subjects pepsin A, pepsin B and gastric lipase were the major proteins detected by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis. Nevertheless they are uncommon. CASE REPORT. 1) A 68-year-old man presented as an emergency with abdominal pain associated with bowel obstruction. He had a 2 to 3 month history of intermittent right-sided abdominal pain, constipation spontaneously resolved. At laparotomy there was a mass of the transverse colon, next hepatic flexure. A right hemicolectomy was performed. The patient made an uneventful recovery.
