Logistic regressions were used to test whether anxiety, neuroticism, extraversion, openness, agreeableness, and conscientiousness predicted the white-coat and masked hyper…

Rejection sensitivity and vulnerability to self-directed hostile cognitions following rejection.

We examined the hypothesis that rejection increases self-directed hostile cognitions in individuals who are high in rejection sensitivity (RS). In four studies employing primarily undergraduate samples (Ns = 83-121), rejection was primed subliminally or through a recall task, and self-directed hostile cognitions were assessed using explicit or implicit measures. Negative or neutral control conditions were used in three of the studies. Measures of RS were obtained in pretesting. High RS participants were more likely than low RS participants to report or show greater self-directed hostile cognit

Meta-analyses of personality change from the preclinical to the clinical stages of dementia.

Personality changes are a clinical criterion for dementia diagnosis, yet their progression across disease stages remains unclear. Mapping Stress, Anxiety, Depression, and Repetitive Negative Thinking Among Non-Western Undergraduate Students: A Network Analysis.

Most studies on stress have primarily focused on Western, educated, industrialized, rich, and democratic samples, which may differ from populations in non-Western countries in terms of how they think and respond to stress. This study investigated the interplay of stress-related variables, including repetitive negative thinking (RNT), neuroticism, mindful awareness, cognitive control, academic or general stress, anxiety, and depression among Indonesian university undergraduates. Network analyses (association, graphical least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (gLASSO), and relative impor…
