Primary Renal hydatid cyst is a rare entity. We report a case of isolated right renal hydatid cyst in a 13-year-old female who presented with pain in the right lumbar region for 4-5 months and a palpable mass in the right upper quadrant. The radiological features were suggestive of a hydatid cyst in the right kidney with no cyst in the liver, lungs, or left kidney. We report 7 cases of strongyloidiasis that had occurred from 2016 through 2017 in a tertiary hospital of southern China. Three of the 7 patients (age 66-77) with farming exposure many years ago developed symptomatic infection while receiving immunosuppressant for underlying medical conditions. Praziquantel and albendazole have been recently described as effective drugs for treatment of intraparenchymal brain cysticercosis. In order to evaluate the efficacy of albendazole for the treatment of taeniasis, regimens of 400 mg x 1 day, 800 mg x 2 days, 800 mg x 3 days, 1200 mg x 2 days, and 1200 mg x 3 days were compared. One hundred and twenty-eight children aged 4 to 11 years old in Dhaka, Bangladesh were treated for infections with Trichuris trichiura and other intestinal parasites using a single dose of 400 mg of albendazole. Only one Trichuris infection was apparently cured although egg counts fell by about 50%. A larger single dosage is recommended to treat Trichuris. Eleven out of 46 infections with Giardia intestinalis were not detected after treatment (p less than 0.001).
