Nine patients with vascular lesions of the mammary subcutaneous tissue were studied. All were women who ranged in age from 20 to 76 years (average 53 years). The lesions were angiolipomas (three cases), cavernous hemangiomas (three cases), and one example each of juvenile hemangioma, venous hemangioma, and papillary endothelial hyperplasia. BACKGROUND: Angiogliomas are rare low-grade glial tumors with significant vascular components. These tumors are usually seen in the brain, and spinal cord angiogliomas have not been reported in the literature until now.
CASE DESCRIPTION: We report the case of a 15-year-old boy with an angioglioma of the medulla and cervicodorsal spine, which was completely excised through a combined suboccipital craniotomy and cervicodorsal laminotomy. The patient experienced excellent clinical recovery after the surgery, and follow-up contrast magnetic resonance imaging showed complete excision of the tumor.

During a 20-year period, 26 patients with typical symptoms of trigeminal neuralgia were found to have posterior fossa tumors at operation. These cases included 14 meningiomas, eight acoustic neurinomas, two epidermoid tumors, one angiolipoma, and one ependymoma. The median patient age was 60 years and 69% of the patients were women. Angiofibrolipoma is a rare histopathological variant of lipoma, characterized by mature adipocytes, blood vessels and dense collagenous tissue. It is seldom seen in the oral and maxillofacial region. Diagnosis of angiofibrolipoma is only possible based on its histopathological features. This report presents the case of a 63-year-old male patient with the complaint of a polyp-like mass, felt from the left retromolar pad region. The mass was found as a small prominent lesion that had grown gradually for 1.5 years. Our differential diagnosis was irritation fibroma and fibrous pyogenic granuloma.
