BACKGROUND: This is an updated version of a Cochrane Review first published in 2014. Phimosis is a condition in which the prepuce (foreskin) cannot be fully retracted past the head of the penis (glans). Phimosis is often treated surgically by circumcision or prepuce plasty; however, reports of non-invasive treatment using topical corticosteroids applied for four to eight weeks have suggested favorable outcomes.
OBJECTIVES: To assess the effects of topical corticosteroids applied to the stenotic portion of the prepuce for the treatment of phimosis in boys compared with placebo or no treatment.

"Morgellons disease" has been a controversial topic in the history of psychodermatology. The most consensual scientific opinion is that it is a primary psychiatric disorder, particularly, a delusional disorder, although others were also pointed out. Some authors have suggested that it may correspond to a common dermatosis with secondary psychopathology. The Morgellons Research Foundation has advocated that it is "an emerging infectious" entity. In an open study, 19 infants with a bipolar seborrhoeic rash were treated with ketoconazole 2% in cream once a day and evaluated over 10 days of treatment. At day 10, 78.9% of patients were almost cleared. Percutaneous absorption peaked 1-3 h after topical treatment, and was minimal. No plasma ketoconazole accumulation over the 10-day treatment was detected. Treatment failures corresponded to histologically psoriasiform eruptions and probable atopic dermatitis.

The superficial temporal artery (STA) is a structure that is particularly vulnerable to injury, given its prominent location in the head and neck region. Pseudoaneurysms of this artery may be encountered during the management of maxillofacial trauma. This article presents a review of the relevant literature on this topic. One of the common surgical interventions includes ligation of the entire feeding artery, which compromises the corresponding blood supply. Preservation of the main trunk of the STA can be achieved in certain cases; one such case is detailed in this report.
