This study investigated the integration of hydrothermal carbonisation and anaerobic digestion for energy and resource recovery from cow manure. Raw cow manure was treated at 180, 220 and 260°C. Sub-thermophilic temperatures (41-49 °C) have been reported to improve anaerobic digestion, but the reason remains unclear. In this study, sub-thermophilic conditions were employed to promote the anaerobic digestion of cattle manure. The results showed that the methane production at 45 °C was 28.5 % higher than that at 37 °C. To investigate the effects of aeration pretreatment on the anaerobic digestion (AD) of swine manure, five pretreatment groups were established with dissolved oxygen (DO) in each group set to 0.0, 0.4, 0.8, 1.4, and 2.0 mg/L, respectively. The review presented the results of the author, his co-workers and investigators of other laboratories about types of feeding (histotropic, hemotropic, amniotropic, lactotropic, definitive) and digestion (autolytic, native) of a fetus and an infant. The study was based on analysis of enzymes that provided hydrolysis of amniotic fluid and breast milk. In Taiwan, Solanum indicum L. has been used in folk medicine for the treatment of inflammation, toothache, ascites, edema, and wound infection. The plant is rich in solanine, an alkaloidal glycoside. We report a 43-year-old man who developed polyuria and polydipsia after taking seven doses of concentrated solution of Solanum indicum L. over two weeks. A water deprivation test and a low serum antidiuretic hormone level helped to confirm a diagnosis of central diabetes insipidus. We suggest that excessive doses of Solanum indicum L. may cause central diabetes insipidus.
