Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeted PET agents are a mainstay in staging high-risk prostate cancer. Nevertheless, PSMA expression is not exclusive to prostate cancer and is present in various neoplasms and inflammatory conditions. A 52-year-old man presented with headache and dizziness. An MRI revealed a space-occupying lesion suspicious of a glioma. Subsequent 68 Ga-FAPI PET/MR showed increased uptake in the lesion located in the right parieto-occipito-temporal lobe (SUVmax 6.0). The intracranial mass was surgically resected, and the pathology confirmed the presence of hydatid cysts. It is important to note that the clinical manifestations of cerebral echinococcosis closely mimic those of brain tumors, necessitating careful differentiation and diagnosis.

A 69-year-old man with prostate cancer treated with radical prostatectomy underwent 68 Ga-PSMA PET/CT due to biochemical recurrence. Increased radiotracer uptake in the prostate bed suggestive of local recurrence was detected. The right hip also displayed increased 68 Ga-PSMA activity, which was consistent with the avascular necrosis findings on MRI.

Ga-PSMA PET/CT is a new imaging technique that is highly sensitive to metastatic prostate cancer lesions compared with other conventional imaging modalities. We report a case of a 77-year-old man with newly diagnosed prostate carcinoma who had a PSMA PET/CT scan for staging of his disease. An intensely PSMA-avid right pelvic mass was identified abutting the cecum and terminal ileum. Many complications can occur following insertion of silicone elastomer implants into the foot. Postoperative infection may be difficult to distinguish from other conditions such as dislodgment, fracture, ectopic and heterotopic new bone formation, synovitis, and bursitis. White blood cell scintigraphy, in conjunction with the clinical scenario, may prove to be an invaluable tool in the diagnosis of postoperative osteomyelitis, subsequent to implant arthroplasties.
