The aim of this study was to investigate the attitudes toward cancer predictive genetic testing in a group of non-high-risk women and men and to analyze the factors that may influence their intention to use these tests. This study utilizes qualitative, historically oriented, cross-national case studies to compare and assess workers' health, safety, and rights in Saudi Aramco with

An assessment of the implementation of the HIV workplace policy in Akwa Ibom State: a cross-sectional descriptive study.

BACKGROUND: Eliminating AIDS by 2030 will remain a mirage if obstacles to achieving zero new HIV infections and viral suppression, like stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV (PLHIV) are not eliminated. Several strategies and policies are targeted at this issue but it remains a huge challenge globally. Like other countries, Nigeria adopted the HIV in the Workplace policy (HIV WPP) in 2013, aimed at protecting the rights of PLHIV in the workplace. Akwa Ibom State (AKS), Nigeria, adopted this policy in 2014. However, since its adoption, its implementation has not been assessed.

Community case study for surveillance and early case-detection of SARS-CoV-2 infections across high-risk key populations: the Sentinella programme.

At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, an ad hoc organisational framework was established between academic, local government and community partners to implement the "Sentinella - Identify, Trace and Prevent" screening programme in Verona, north-east Italy. Stakeholders' perspectives on barriers and pathways toward the diversification of planted forests.

Mixed planted forests (MPFs) are often considered more resilient to climate change and provide greater environmental benefits than monocultures. Yet, monocultures dominate tree plantation systems globally. Here, we examined the motivations, barriers, and opportunities that affect forest stakeholders' adoption of MPFs across four countries with strong yet distinct forest sectors: Brazil, France, Portugal, and Sweden. We conducted 81 semi-structured interviews with forest owners,  company employees, and associations involved in forest management. We found that the primary motivation for adopting

Expanding choice through defined contributions: overcoming a non-participatory health care economy.

The fate of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 is uncertain. Much of the opposition is grounded in popular hostility to expansive federal control over individuals' health care decision-making. But the new law reinforces existing third-party payment, primarily through employers and government programs. This financing already restricts personal choice of health plans and coverage options. Private employers, managed care executives, and public officials make the key spending decisions in health care. Unlike consumers in other sectors of the economy, individuals are mostly pass
