A case of concomitant granuloma annulare (GA) and necrobiosis lipoidica (NL) is presented. The etiology of these two disorders remains obscure. The similarity of the histopathology in GA and NL might suggest a common origin. However, a review of the 5 previous cases of concomitant GA and NL and recent biochemical, immunological and immunohistochemical studies comparing GA to NL indicates an independent etiology for these two histologically related disorders. We studied a white skin type 3 male patient aged 68 years old with a paraneoplastic acrokeratosis of Bazex, suffering from an oesophagus neoplasm. Cutaneous manifestations preceded in months the cancer. Dermatosis affected fingers of hands and feet, soles, nose and helix. INTRODUCTION: Dermatoses that develop in children often differ from similar pathologies in adults. One of the interesting and ongoing subjects of study for pediatric dermatology is pathologies of the skin of the palmoplantar areas. Rashes in the acral area may be part of a widespread rash, or a pathology specifically expressed only in the acral area. A case is presented of lichen nitidus that evolved into an acquired palmar keratoderma in a fifty year old woman; this is a rare manifestation of the disease. Lichen nitidus must be considered in the differential diagnosis of keratoderma palmaris.

We report a solitary mastocytoma with a recurrent tense bulla on the palm of a 4-month-old male infant. Histologically there were numerous mast cells infiltrating the dermis. The bulla subsided without treatment in 2 weeks, remaining an oval reddish patch. The present case shows that solitary mastocytoma can occur on the palm, but to our knowledge, this site is unusual.
