BACKGROUND: While Korea maintains a low prevalence of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), the number of newly diagnosed cases has been steadily rising, reaching approximately 1,000 annually in recent years. The 2022 annual report from the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency revealed that women living with HIV (WLWH) constitute 6.4% of the total confirmed people living with the HIV population, totaling 1,219 individuals. Despite this, only a few studies have focused on WLWH in Korea. This study aims to analyze the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of WLWH in Korea.

Evidence of a protective role of aspirin on the risk of colorectal and other common cancers has been building up since the end of the 1980s. There are now more than 15 epidemiological (case-control and cohort) studies indicating that long-term use of aspirin is associated with a reduced risk of colorectal cancer. Triple-negative breast cancers (TNBCs) and inflammatory breast cancer (IBC) are by far the most deadly among all breast cancer subtypes mainly due to being resistant to current treatments. Rosai-Dorfman disease (RDD) is an uncommon disorder, characterized by an atypical expansion of histiocytes which classically shows emperipolesis and immunoreactivity with S-100 protein. OBJECTIVE: The objective was to report a severe skin reaction, erythema multiforme major, following administration of docetaxel.
CASE SUMMARY: A female patient receiving weekly docetaxel for metastatic breast cancer developed a severe skin reaction characterized by blistering target lesions on her upper and lower extremities as well as painful ulcers of her oropharynx.
