A staphylococcal pyrogenic exotoxin was purified and characterized biochemically and biologically. Antigens were identified from the third-stage larvae (L3) and lung-stage larvae of Ascaris suum by two-dimensional immunoblot method with antisera obtained from pigs that received chemically abbreviated Ascaris suum larval infections.
