In the cells of RS-1 carcinoma and those of Iensen's sarcoma it has been stated that acceleration and inhibition of tumor growth induced by nonspecific influence (vitamin A, hydrocortisone, proserin) are accompanied by uniform morphological changes of intracellular structures. Therefore, it is possible to suggest that the changes observed reflect a certain cell adaptation to the altering environmental conditions (cell stress-reaction). The cell stress-reaction is presented morphologically and hence, can by systematized. An attempt of such systematization is suggested.

The definitive study of the relationship between blood transfusion and cancer recurrence has not been published. The histology and ultrastructure of more than 100 tumors produced by a chemically transformed rat liver epithelial cell line and its single-cell-derived clonal subpopulations were studied. We investigated the significance of milky spots for malignant cells in peritoneal dissemination using three mouse carcinomatous peritonitis models. P388 leukemia and Colon 26 cancer cells were labeled with bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) and mice were inoculated intraperitoneally. Experiments were made on induction of cancer of the glandular stomach of rats by a combination of oral administration of N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine (MNNG) and insertion of a plastic bead into the gastric lumen.
