Renal angiomyolipoma is a rare benign tumour, often associated with congenital diseases especially de Bourneville's tuberous sclerosis. Bilateral angiomyolipoma is exceptional. The authors report a case of bilateral renal angiomyolipoma in a 33-year-old patient presenting with haemorrhagic shock. In the light of this case and a review of the literature, the authors discuss the diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of this disease.

A case of multiple primary malignant melanoma of the esophagus was reported. A 66-year-old male was referred to the hospital with complaints of appetite loss and dysphagia. The authors report a complicated leiomyosarcoma gastric case with hemoperitoneum. The exploratory laparotomy reveals an hemoperitoneum constituted from both gastric tumors. One was localised in the antrum and was encapsulated, the other in the cardia and had an encephaloid and necrotized core. The pathological examination of the total gastrectomy piece is consistent with a double gastric localisation of a leiomyosarcomosis. 5 years after the initial operation, the patient developed hepatic metastases. A review of literature allows the authors to make the point of this disease.

A case of synchronous occurrence of a primary ulcerating adenocarcinoma and primary low grade malignant lymphoma of the stomach is reported. Histologically, main portion of both tumors are separated by an intermediate transitional zone. Regional lymph nodes are involved by both tumors.

A 58 years-old man suffering from continuous melaena was found inoperable after laparotomy because of having multiple tumorous lesion and perforation of the small intestine. Autopsy showed two perforated and four other ulcerated tumours in a 70 cm long part of jejunum. Histology corresponded to a locally aggressive leiomyosarcoma without secondaries.

The risk of a person developing a second primary cancer was evaluated in approximately 55,000 women diagnosed with breast cancer in Denmark between 1943 and 1980. Excluding second cancers of the contralateral breast, 2,480 new cancers were observed compared with 2,398 expected (relative risk = 1.03; 95% CI = 0.99-1.08). BACKGROUND: The management of small, nonfunctioning pancreaticoduodenal endocrine tumors (NFPET) in multiple endocrine neoplasia type 1 (MEN1) patients is still controversial. We therefore investigated the effect of surgery on survival and tumor progression in MEN1 patients with NFPET < or = 2 cm by analyzing data from the Groupe des Tumeurs Endocrines (GTE) registry.

Cryptorchidism is a known cause of testicular tumor. The incidence of testicular tumor is 11 times more in inguinal testes and 50 times more in intra-abdominal testes. The position of the undescended testis is related to the likelihood of carcinogenesis with the intra-abdominal location having the highest risk for malignancy. Bilateral testicular tumors are rare and 80% of bilateral tumors are metachronous. Synchronous bilateral testicular tumors are rare and bilateral synchronous testicular seminoma in a patient with bilateral cryptorchidism is very rare.

We present a very rare case of simultaneous thymic carcinoids with similar size, one of which showed spontaneous regression. A 68-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of two similar abnormal masses at his anterior mediastinum on chest computed tomography, one of which had decreased from 25 to 16 mm in diameter. Warthin's tumour is the most frequent monomorphic adenoma of the major salivary glands, representing about 2-15% of all parotid tumours. Most of the multifocal Warthin's tumours are unilateral, whereas bilateral Warthin's tumours are far less common; bilateral Warthin's tumours are metachronous with few synchronous cases having been described in the literature.
