We report a case of solitary neurofibroma of the spermatic cord. A 48-year-old man was referred to our hospital with a complaint of a left inguinal mass. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) demonstrated a solid mass in the left inguinal region. The tumor was removed. Histopathological diagnosis was neurofibloma. He had no other findings of Von Recklinghausen disease. Only a few cases of solitary neurofibromas of spermatic cord have been reported.

Neurofibromatosis 1 is a multisystem disorder associated with substantial clinical variability. During childhood, few neurofibromas and café au lait spots may be the only manifest symptoms, making correct and timely diagnosis difficult. The objective of this article was to describe a case of Von Recklinghausen's disease with plexiform neurofibroma of the penis. The patient was 26 years old and reported difficulty with sexual intercourse owing to a penile mass, despite experiencing normal sensation and erection. In most situations, it is difficult to determine the precise nerve origins. We report the first case of a plexiform neurofibroma of the oesophagus, presenting with dysphagia in a 67-year-old man known to suffer from von Recklinghausen's neurofibromatosis. Neurofibroma of the soft palate, an extremely rare tumour, is probably not yet reported in the literature. We report the first case of an isolated neurofibroma of the soft palate not associated with von Recklinghausen's disease (VRD), which is also, probably, the first reported case of neurofibroma of the soft palate. The tumour was completely removed from the soft palate after performing tracheostomy, necessitated due to difficulties in intubation.

Neurofibroma is rarely found arising in the head and neck region. Parapharyngeal space neurofibroma is one of the rare complications of neurofibromatosis type I, occurring in less than 5% of all parapharyngeal space neoplasms. Solitary neurofibroma type II in this location has not been reported so far in literature. In this paper we describe a case of a huge neurofibroma of parapharyngeal space, indicating the main diagnostic procedures (especially CT scan), and report the surgical treatment.
