In this paper, a multibody dynamic model of a railway vehicle that assumes that vertical and lateral dynamics are weakly coupled, has been experimentally validated using an instrumented scaled vehicle running on a 5-inch-wide experimental track. The proposed linearised model treats the vertical and lateral dynamics of the multibody system almost independently, being coupled exclusively by the suspension forces. BACKGROUND: This unblinded randomised crossover study compares two endotracheal tube introducers (ETIs): the FROVA and the "Flexible Tip Bougie" (FTB), in an airway manikin mimicking difficult intubation with a percentage of glottic opening view of 30%. Participants were Emergency Medicine and Anaesthesia trainees with recent experience of less than twenty patient intubations. The primary outcome was time to intubation, further divided into time taken to pass the ETI and time to railroad the endotracheal tube (ETT) over the ETI. The secondary outcome was the difficulty of intubation.

This study investigates environmental noise exposure caused by rail crossing alarms and urban traffic in Sreemangal, Bangladesh. Noise levels were measured at the Vanugach Road rail crossing in Sreemangal using the NIOSH Sound Level Meter (SLM) app on an iPhone 14 Pro Max. BACKGROUND AND IMPORTANCE: Endovascular embolization using Onyx has been a major advancement in the treatment of cerebrovascular malformations. Microcatheter entrapment in Onyx is a procedural complication which can pose a thromboembolic risk to patients. There have been 4 retrieval techniques for intact microcatheters entrapped in Onyx previously described in the literature, which are summarized in this report.
