An 18-year-old male high school student with school refusal and circadian rhythm disturbance is reported. At 17 years of age, he was unable to attend school because of a reversal of the daily rhythm and a moderate depressive feeling. Phobic individuals are often reluctant to engage in exposure in vivo (IVE). We examined whether providing exposure in virtual reality (VRE) can increase the acceptability. In Study 1, we provided 186 fearful participants with (hypothetical) VRE and IVE treatment offers and examined their willingness to engage in treatment, estimated success, negative beliefs, acceptance/refusal and their preference. The aim of this study was to evaluate the possibility of replacing removable partial denture (RPD) with fixed partial dentures on osseointegrated implants in a selective group of patients with partially edentulous lower jaws. AIMS: This qualitative study aimed to assess people with congenital bleeding disorders (CBDs) perspectives on why their dentists refused to treat them.
METHODS: Using validated and reliable questions, people with CBDs were asked about their attitude toward dental visit and teeth brushing, perceived thought about dentists' knowledge and skill in treating them, perceived dental anxiety, and perceived barriers toward receiving dental services. Free text responses were added to report reasons of why people with CBDs could not brush their teeth sometimes and why the dentists refused to treat them.
