PURPOSE: To report the clinical presentation and management outcomes of glaucoma in the "Indian Twin cities retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) Screening database."
METHODS: All children with diagnosis of ROP and glaucoma between 1997 and 2016 from a prospective database were included. Glaucoma was classified as open when anterior chamber (AC) was deep, closed when AC was shallow or flat and neovascular when there was extensive iris neovascularization. ROP was classified based on International classification of ROP.

We report two cases of bilateral severe familial exudative vitreoretinopathy (FEVR) presenting with bilateral angle closure glaucoma, with evidence of neovascularization in one eye of each case. BACKGROUND: Percussion massage guns (PMGs) have gained widespread popularity for muscle recovery; however, standardized safety guidelines for application to anatomically vulnerable regions are lacking. Previously reported PMG-associated ocular injuries have been limited to unilateral or mild bilateral involvement. We report a 34-years-old woman who presented with bilateral incongruous inferior visual field defects after the commencement of topiramate for management of migraine. Using the serum concentration of high-sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) as surrogate of systemic inflammation, we examined potential associations between the serum hs-CRP concentration and the presence and degree of eye diseases.

The author presents contemporary opinion on the place of filtration surgery in the treatment of adult onsets of primary glaucoma. Increasing age and greater IOP fluctuation increase the odds of VF progression after surgical intervention. Retinal ganglion cell function, optic disc morphology as well as VF parameters, can be at least partially restored after surgical IOP reduction in early glaucoma. It is the most important, to choose the critical time for surgical intervention in the aim to achieve reversal of field loss.

OBJECTIVE: To compare the efficacy and safety profile of brimonidine as adjunctive therapy to beta-blockers between primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) and chronic angle closure glaucoma (CACG) in Asian eyes.
DESIGN: Three-months, open-label, prospective study.
PARTICIPANTS: Twenty-three patients (35 eyes) with POAG and 25 patients (39 eyes) with CACG were enrolled in the study.
INTERVENTION: Patients with POAG or CACG post iridectomy whose IOP was inadequately controlled with topical beta-blocker monotherapy were included. Then, brimonidine 0.2 per cent was added twice daily in both groups.

PURPOSE: Several studies indicated that -1607 1G/2G (rs1799750) polymorphism in matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1) promoter was correlated with glaucoma susceptibility, but the results remain controversial. We performed a meta-analysis to assess whether rs1799750 confers glaucoma risk.
METHODS: Eligible studies were retrieved by systematically searching Pubmed, Embase, Web of Science, and Chinese Biomedical database.
