UNLABELLED: Pituitary macroadenoma most commonly presents with visual disturbances, headache, and other symptoms secondary to adeno hypophyseal hormonal deficiencies and usually alleviates after tumor resection. Pituitary adenomas may be the cause of the syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion (SIADH) causing hyponatremia, although so far, there have only been a few documented cases. Little is known about delayed postoperative hyponatremia (DPH) accompanied with transsphenoidal surgery for non-adenomatous skull base tumors (NASBTs). Consecutive data on 30 patients with parasellar NASBT was retrospectively reviewed with detailed analyses on perioperative serial sodium levels. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study is to recognize the available endoscopic routes during approaches to the suprasellar region and the surgical endoscopic anatomy of the related neurovascular structures.
MATERIAL AND METHODS: Extended endoscopic endonasal approach to the suprasellar region (EEASR) through the planum sphenoidale was performed in five fresh adult cadavers. The anatomic characteristics of the suprasellar parachiasmatic cisterns were studied and documented following the resection of the planum sphenoidale and opening the dura to expose the anterior incisural space.

Bartter's syndrome belongs to a group of hypokalemic renal channel diseases. These channels are located in the lipid layer of cell membranes where they exist as water channels through which ion transport is performed.
