Peripheral neuropathy is a common side effect of chemotherapeutic agents that frequently necessitates dose-reduction, truncation of, or change in therapy. HDAC6 inhibition has demonstrated preclinical efficacy in preventing and/or reversing chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy and furthermore has demonstrated synergistic antitumor activity with various chemotherapies.
