We experienced an unreported rare case with an adnexal mass causing severe acute abdomen during pregnancy. A 30-year-old Japanese pregnant woman was transported to our hospital for her right lower abdominal pain at 30 weeks of gestation. Isolated torsion of the fallopian tube without ovarian involvement and associated pathology is a rare event. We report an 18-year-old single female who presented with acute lower abdominal pain during menstruation after a minor trauma of the pelvis. Primary fallopian tube carcinomas (PFTC) are rare gynecological tumors infrequently diagnosed prior to operative intervention. A retrospective review was performed to characterize the distribution and clinicopathologic significance of these tumors.
