OBJECTIVES: The purpose of this paper is to introduce an effective technique to easily obtain adequate amounts of keratinized gingiva and vestibular depth.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: Free gingiva (vertical height 10 mm) was harvested on the palatal mucosa and a partial thickness flap was elevated on the recipient site with same width as the free gingiva graft. A 34-year-old male patient developed scaphoid nonunion with necrosis in both fragments. A scaphoid replacement was performed using a titanium custom-made 3D-printed implant. At 1-year follow-up, good clinical and radiographic outcome was obtained. Titanium custom-made 3D-printed implants may offer a good surgical solution for patients requiring total scaphoid replacement.

BACKGROUND: Surgical site infection (SSI) is one of the main complications after craniotomy. The incidence is up to 11% in the literature. The established procedure is debridement, removal of the bone flap, and delayed cranioplasty. Delayed cranioplasty has several disadvantages.
