Granulocytic sarcoma (GS), a rare extramedullary manifestation of acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) has been frequently reported in the skin, orbits, gingiva, maxilla and lymph nodes. GS in the mediastinum is often mistaken as lymphoblastic lymphoma or mediastinal germ cell tumour. We presented here three cases of AML with normal cytogenetics who presented with mediastinal masses with superior vena caval (SVC) syndrome. All the three cases summarised in this write-up, received standard AML therapy but had, poor outcome.

We report the follow-up of a previously published case of Susac syndrome (SuS) in a woman who underwent fertility-preserving treatment with gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists during cyclophosphamide therapy. Polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR) is characterized by myalgia and severe stiffness with decreased range of motion in the shoulder and pelvic girdles. The efficacy of the BNT 162b2 Pfizer vaccine has been proven and has been well-tolerated by patients; however, some instances of PMR have been reported after the COVID-19 vaccine. We are writing a case of a new-onset PMR in a 72-year-old woman with typical findings after receiving a booster dose of the BNT 162b2 Pfizer vaccine. This case report highlights that PMR should be in the differential diagnosis of myalgias caused by the vaccine.

CASE SUMMARY: This case report describes two cats that had subcutaneous ureteral bypass (SUB) systems implanted and subsequently developed duodenal perforations and septic peritonitis associated with the Dacron cuff of the nephrostomy tube. One cat recovered following surgical explantation of the SUB system with intestinal resection and anastomosis of the perforated small intestine, and - at the time of writing - is still alive. The other cat was humanely euthanased intraoperatively at the owner's request owing to its perceived prognosis.

A 64 year-old Caucasian man was first investigated 21 years ago for persistent diarrhoea. A colonoscopy revealed an erosive pancolitis with unusual vacuolated macrophages.
