The integral membrane protein prestin, a member of the SLC26 anion transporter family, is responsible for the voltage-driven electromotility of mammalian outer hair cells. It was argued that the evolution of prestin's motor function required a loss of the protein's transport capabilities. To determine whether the addition of a pre-S/S human vaccine increases the antiviral activity of lamivudine, four woodchucks were treated with a daily dose of 100 mg/kg lamivudine and four 50 microg doses of CHO-derived pre-S/S human vaccine. BACKGROUND: Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) still lacks an ideal immunotherapy target. CD38 serves as a potential therapeutic target for AML. Classical bispecific antibody (BsAb) requires continuous infusion due to small molecular size and short half-life.
METHODS: The anti-human CD38 single-chain variable fragment (scFv) and anti-human CD3 scFv were cloned to expression plasmids. ExpiCHO-S cells were transfected, and the anti-CD38/anti-CD3 bispecific antibody (38-3-BsAbs) in CHO supernatants was efficiently purified. The anti-AML efficacy of 38-3-BsAbs was evaluated in vitro and in vivo.

Depression is a common mental illness and leading cause of disability. Most current antidepressants are associated with significant limitations, and in particular, a delayed onset and low rate of efficacy. Consequently, there remains an ongoing need for antidepressants that are either more effective or better tolerated than existing standards. We previously identified ZY-1408 as a drug with a novel chemical structure and potential anti-depressant-like activity.
