This report describes an especially rare postoperative pseudoaneurysm of the sphenopalatine artery following midface advancement using Le Fort III in an Apert syndrome patient. The Apert patient referenced in this report was a 13-year-old boy with severe midface hypoplasia, significant obstructive sleep apnea, and Angle Class III malocclusion. The patient underwent a low Le Fort III osteotomy, subsequently followed by gradual anterior distraction with an external halo distractor. One month postoperatively, the patient experienced recurrent, massive blood loss due to unilateral epistaxis. In or

Adult patients who consult an orthodontist are looking for dental rehabilitation underpinned by an implicit esthetic demand, which needs to be analyzed. When the discrepancy involves more than the teeth and cannot be corrected by dentoalveolar compensation alone, there is a need, on account of the lack of growth, the periodontal setting and underlying dysfunctions, for an orthodontic-surgical solution. A clear understanding of the required future functional balance will help achieve a satisfactory esthetic target and give stable, lasting results.

OBJECTIVES: The lingual dysfunctions play a considerable role in the pathogenesis of dentoskeletal dysmorphisms. The treatment of dento-maxillofacial dysgnathia implies a functional rehabilitation to re-harmonize the stomatognathic system. This study aims to demonstrate the importance of a rehabilitation protocol of functional orofacial parameters at the end of a surgical-orthodontic treatment in order to achieve long-term success.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: After orthognathic surgery, facial expression exercises and jaw exercises are prescribed to promote the recovery of neuromuscular function.

Interdisciplinary treatment for patients with Treacher Collins syndrome is challenging because of the rarity of the condition and the wide variety of phenotypic expression. A 23-year-old male was diagnosed with Treacher Collins syndrome with a history of severe obstructive sleep apnea. He presented with a Pruzansky-Kaban classification grade I mandible, skeletal type II pattern with a hyperdivergent mandibular plane, severe convex profile, and Class II malocclusion with a missing mandibular incisor. Improvement of facial esthetics was achieved by a combination of orthodontics, mandibular distr

INTRODUCTION: In growing patients, reliable quantification of change requires explicitly stating the reference used for superimposition and interpreting all values as relative changes; however, manual workflows are time-consuming and variable. This study assessed measurement reliability and workflow efficiency for reference-explicit analyses, comparing a fully automated, open-source segmentation and registration workflow against a semiautomatic voxel-based approach for clinically useful 3-dimensional assessments.

INTRODUCTION: Class II malocclusion, particularly its unilateral presentation, poses significant challenges in orthodontics because of asymmetrical occlusal relationships and associated midline deviations. Although clear aligner therapy offers esthetic and practical benefits, its predictability in achieving complex movements, such as unilateral molar distalization, remains limited.
METHODS: This retrospective study included 51 adult patients treated with clear aligners for Class II subdivision malocclusion taken from the Australasian Aligner Research Database. Digital models at baseline, from
