We report the clinical statistics of new outpatients for five years since 1989 at our hospital. The average total number of new outpatients in a year was 8309.8 (8122-8691) and new outpatients tended to show little change. A statistical study was performed on new outpatients. The total number of new outpatients in 1983 was 5,901 (male: 3,712, female: 2,189) and the male to versus female ratio was 1.7: 1. OBJECTIVE: To report 3 cases of pseudoclitoromegaly and to describe the strategies used for differential diagnosis and treatment.
METHODS: Three cases and a literature review were described in this study.
RESULTS: Three cases referred for treatment of clitoromegaly were in fact cases of pseudoclitoromegaly caused by a hamartoma, a neurofibroma, and a hemangioma of the clitoral prepuce. Abnormal virilization was excluded and the tumors were successfully treated by surgical resection and genital esthetic reconstruction.
CONCLUSION: Clitoral abnormalities not associated with virilization syndr
