OBJECTIVE: To report a rare case of epididymal liposarcoma with multiple metastases to the retroperitoneal space and peritoneal cavity for the purpose of improving the diagnosis and treatment of the disease.

Mouse hepatitis virus (MHV) infection was found in 15 of 40 athymic mice (Balb/c nu/nu) used in an experimental model designed to study the effect of cell mediated immunity on target human melanoma cells growing in the peritoneal cavity. Slc7a5 is an important amino acid transporter that is highly expressed in metabolically active and rapidly proliferating cells.
