The aim of the current study was to test the hypothesis that the induction of an underlying immunologic condition in rabbits may enhance the development of steroid-induced osteonecrosis. Central chondrosarcoma is an uncommon primary malignancy of the axial skeleton which usually affects the posterior elements or the posterior part of a vertebral body. We present an unusual case of chondrosarcoma involving the anterior part of a thoracic vertebra with massive extravertebral extension into the posterior mediastinum. The roles of computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging in identifying this pathology are emphasized.

We sought to determine the capillary morphology in patients with clubbing to compare it with that in subjects without clubbing. Rheotaxis is a widespread behavior with many potential benefits for fish and other aquatic animals, yet the sensory basis of rheotaxis under different fluvial conditions is still poorly understood.
