OBJECTIVES: Polymeric excipients play an important role in a cocrystal formulation to act as precipitation inhibitors to maximize the potential. Otherwise, a stable form of the parent drug will be recrystallized on the dissolving cocrystal surface and/or in the bulk solution during the cocrystal dissolution process, negating the solubility advantage. Seventy-six families of children with school phobia were evaluated with the Family Assessment Measure. Inbred mice of the C3H/He (resistant) and C57BL/6 (susceptible) strains and their hybrids were used in experiments to investigate the genetic regulation of host resistance to B. anthracis. The susceptibility of F1 mice to a standard spore suspension was similar to that of the resistant parent and not intermediate between values for the parent strains. There were no differences in mortality rate between F1 and reciprocal cross mice. Analysis of the results indicated that resistance of mice to B. anthracis is regulated by a single dominant gene.

OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of psychosocial factors on the age at menarche of girls in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBH).
SUBJECTS AND METHODS: A cross-sectional study was conducted from September 2002 to May 2003 in all Cantons of the FBH. The random stratified sample included 19.803 girls aged 9.0 to 17.5 years. Data were collected using the status quo method. Probit analysis was used to estimate median age at menarche and 95% confidence intervals.

This study examined the mediating role of childhood maltreatment between family structure and adolescent depressive symptoms, utilizing a nationally representative sample of Chinese adolescents (N = 30,234). This study examined possible predisposing factors that may contribute to rural adolescents' early sexual behavior. Sexual behaviors, demographics, family structure, history of abuse, sexually active friends, and substance use were analyzed in 410 rural and urban adolescents, aged 10 to 19 years, who were enrolled in a school-based health center in North Carolina between 2005 and 2007. Many studies have shown that primary prostate cancers are multifocal and are composed of multiple genetically distinct cancer cell clones. BACKGROUND: Emotional parentification is considered harmful to a child's development.
METHOD: A total of about 975 patients were examined at a Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and in the practices of general practitioners with regard to childhood adversities.
RESULTS: Emotional parentification is a risk factor for 2 symptom groups: the patients with depression and the patients with somatoform pain. While the occurrence of depression is mainly predicted by maternal emotional parentification, paternal influences are also relevant in regard to the development of somatoform pain.
