This study tried to investigate whether bioresonance therapy could have a beneficial effect in stuttering children of school age who showed no progress under other therapies. Stuttering is caused by many factors, and consequential verbal communication may be abolished partially or even totally. Medical management should not concern itself solely with the speech problem, and the individual problem and behaviour of each patient should be considered. Unlike stuttering, cluttering does not mean poor communication, but again in its treatment, individuality must be considered. Treatment is based on frequent tuition of a slower speech and of control of the impulsive personality traits.

Behavior of the middle ear muscle during speaking was observed in five stutterers by means of the Zwislocki acoustic impedance bridge. PURPOSE: Stuttering therapy is complex, addressing speech, cognitive, affective, and social factors. Children who stutter often present with co-occurring speech and language disorders. Historically, speech-language pathologists (SLPs) have reported less comfort with stuttering treatment compared with other speech and language disorders. The treatment procedures referred to here as "speech modification" are those that use a known fluency-inducing condition and that have as an explicit goal teaching the client to speak in a manner that will not include stuttering. This paper briefly reviews four subcategories of speech modification approaches for children in the schools: variations on prolonged speech, extended length of utterance approaches, response-contingent approaches, and mixed approaches. Special challenges to be faced by clinicians who would like to use speech modification procedures in the schools are also addressed.
