BACKGROUND: An increased risk of suicide in Huntington's disease (HD) patients is well documented, with rates significantly higher than those of the general population as well as other neurodegenerative diseases. However, very few studies have examined the relationship between dating violence and suicidal ideation within an empirically supported theory of suicide.
