Sepsis is characterized by a systemic inflammation that can cause an immune dysfunction, for which the underlying mechanisms are unclear. We investigated the impact of cecal ligature and puncture (CLP)-mediated polymicrobial sepsis on monocyte (Mo) mobilization and functions.
