To assess the feasibility of testing indoor commercial sex workers (CSW) for Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae in an outreach setting. All CSW seen on outreach over a 6-week period were offered self-taken vulval swabs for chlamydia and gonorrhoea testing. Feasibility was assessed by all the outreach workers on a standardised proforma. Of the 93 women offered the service, 40 accepted, of whom five (12%) had not previously accessed sexual health services. Medical abortion with combined mifepristone and misoprostol is a highly effective, safe, and widely used method for medical termination of pregnancy. In this review, it is shown that self-testing with a urine human chorionic gonadotropin stix (detection limit greater than 25 IU/l) four weeks after administration of medication is a safe, practical, and cheap method to determine successful termination.

This study examines the accuracy of self-report of cervical and breast cancer screening by women with intellectual disability (n = 155). Data from face-to-face interviews and medical records were analyzed. Total agreement, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value were calculated. BACKGROUND: Selective screening criteria have been widely implemented for genital Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) infections but have rarely been developed for Neisseria gonorrhoeae (GC) infection.
