A 71-year-old woman with a four-year history of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) received ibrutinib as initial treatment due to progressive anemia and thrombocytopenia. Eleven months after the start of the treatments, although her cytopenia had ameliorated, she developed classic Hodgkin lymphoma, a rare form of Richter's transformation. Oral methanol intoxication is common, but dermal intoxication is rare. We report a previously healthy 19-month-old female infant admitted to the emergency department (ED) with vomiting and tonic-clonic seizure. On physical examination, she was comatose and presented signs of decompensated shock with Kussmaul breathing. Her left thigh was edematous, with purple coloration. Methanol intoxication was suspected due to high anion gap metabolic acidosis (pH, 6.89; HCO3, <3 meq/L) and exposure to spirit-soaked bandages (%96 methanol) for 24 hours and 3 days. CASE DESCRIPTION: Two patients, 68 and 72 years old, were admitted with fever whilst under treatment with ruxolitinib for myelofibrosis. They had not been screened for latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) and extensive tuberculosis was found in both patients. They died within weeks from complications of fulminant disease.

Crizotinib is an oral small-molecule anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) tyrosine-kinase inhibitor for the treatment of ALK-positive non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). A 63-year old woman with postoperative relapsed ALK-positive NSCLC was treated with crizotinib. Erythema multiforme (EM) occurred one week after initiation of crizotinib therapy.
