Structural lesions associated with the Chiari II malformation have been identified within the fourth ventricle in 8 patients. PURPOSE: To evaluate peripheral blood lymphocyte subpopulations in patients with choroidal melanoma.
METHODS: In this prospective study, peripheral blood lymphocytes of 226 patients afflicted with choroidal melanoma were analyzed by flow cytometry and compared with those of 49 age-matched and gender-matched control subjects. Subpopulations of peripheral blood lymphocytes were further identified by monoclonal antibodies specific to cell-surface markers. Statistical analysis was performed by a Student t test.

Papillary tumor of the pineal region (PTPR) is a neuroepithelial brain tumor, which might pose diagnostic difficulties and recurs often. Little is known about underlying molecular alterations. We therefore investigated chromosomal copy number alterations, DNA methylation patterns and mRNA expression profiles in a series of 24 PTPRs. OBJECTIVE: To characterize the clinical and imaging features of circumscribed choroidal hemangioma (CCH), and to evaluate individualized treatment efficiency of photodynamic therapy (PDT), transpupillary thermotherapy (TTT), or their combination, followed by retrobulbar injection of betamethasone on CCH resolvement.
