We describe an unusual case of sigmoid colon perforation secondary to a bicycle handlebar injury. Because the patient presented 2 days after the initial injury, we suspected that the colon perforation was not the immediate result of the bicycle accident but, rather, was secondary to devascularization. At operation, we found a bucket-handle tear of the colonic mesentery, which was the patient's primary injury and cause of the perforated colon.

Spontaneous uterine venous rupture is a very rare condition (1/10,000 pregnancies). The etiology is still unknown, and it is associated with an increased of venous pressure. The rupture especially occurs on third trimester. The most frequent site of the rupture is the broad ligament. OBJECTIVE: Typical signs of papillary renal cell carcinoma (PRCC) are extensive necroses of the tumorous mass, which can modify the clinical appearance of PRCC. These necroses can imitate cysts on radiological examinations (ultrasonography and CT). The tumours are fragile and vulnerable to spontaneous rupture or rupture following minimal trauma (i.e. they act as a locus minoris resistentiae).

A rare case of ruptured hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) of the caudate lobe is reported. A 67-year-old man came to the hospital with complaints of abdominal pain and distension.
