The Superior Foville Syndrome is a rare clinical feature of stroke or brain hemorrhage. Few cases have been reported worldwide particularly in Africa. We report the case of a 20 years old patient resident in Senegal with no known medical history. He was admitted on August 2015 in the Neurology Department of Fann National Teaching Hospital for an abrupt onset of left body side weakness, acute headaches and rotatory vertigo five days before admission. Breathing disturbances are a major challenge in Rett Syndrome (RTT). These disturbances are more pronounced during wakefulness; but irregular breathing occurs also during sleep. During the day patients can exhibit alternating bouts of hypoventilation and irregular hyperventilation. We report our findings in a case of ophthalmoplegia caused by a transorbital penetrating brainstem injury. An 8-year-old boy was accidentally injured by a broken fishing fiberglass pole which penetrated through the right orbit and entered the brainstem. Plasma big-endothelin (BE) in 12 patients with acute severe ischemic stroke was studied. Six patients developed complete supratentorial infarctions, and six patients had severe infarctions of pons, cerebellum, and/or medulla. We report a 36-year-old man who admitted due to brain infarctions of the pons and cerebellum. He had a history of brain infarction 4 years ago. Chest radiograph and enhanced CT showed an abnormal shadow in the superior mediastinum. Central pontine myelinolysis is a rare neurologic disorder defined by symmetric demyelination of the central base of the pons. Until recently its outcome was considered invariably poor if not fatal. A severe rest tremor arose in a patient's right arm 9 months after a pontine tegmental hemorrhage.
