We report a rare case of bladder paraganglioma with lymph node metastasis. A 51-year-old man presented with gross hematuria caused by a bladder tumor. During transurethral resection, a sudden hypertensive crisis occurred, raising suspicion of a catecholamine-producing tumor. Pathological analysis confirmed bladder paraganglioma. We report the experience of prone ventilation in selected patients treated with helmet non-invasive ventilation (NIV) continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) for acute respiratory failure in COVID-19 pneumonia. Preliminary results showed an improvement in the PaO2 value and PaO2/FiO2 ratio after 1 hour of prone ventilation. A 79-year-old woman presented with a large fresh rectal bleed. Computed tomography revealed that she had a large type IV hiatus hernia, which contained the stomach and pancreas. In this review, potential benefits of pentoxifylline (PTX) on wound healing have been evaluated. All available experimental and clinical studies examined effects of PTX on wound healing have been included. I've written this to reflect my personal experience of Bell's Palsy to inform my midwifery colleagues how this rare occurrence can impact pregnant women in their care. Pregnant women are at an increased risk of Bell's Palsy but many professionals will not encounter it due to its rarity.
