INTRODUCTION: The aim was to evaluate "overall neuropathy", defined as peripheral paresthesia and Raynaud's phenomenon, in long-term survivors of malignant ovarian germ cell tumors (MOGCTs) treated with cisplatin-based chemotherapy (CBCT).

Patients aged under 16 years presenting to the Royal Children's Hospital between 1967 and 1997 with pineal region tumours were retrospectively reviewed. Thirty-seven patients were identified, with 13 germinomas, 7 nongerminomatous germ cell tumours, 6 pineoblastomas, 2 pineocytomas, and 3 astrocytomas, while in 6 patients no histopathological diagnosis was obtained. METHODS: 73 cases with the diagnosis of germ-cell testicular tumours were reviewed. All cases underwent orchiectomy and extension study with abdominal CT-scan and either chest X-ray or Thoracic CT-scan. Global analyses of RNA expression levels are useful for classifying genes and overall phenotypes. Germ cell tumors (GCT) are the most common malignancies in males between 15 and 35 years of age. Despite the high cure rate, achieved through chemotherapy and/or surgery, the molecular basis of GCT etiology is still largely obscure. Here, we show a positive correlation between MAPK15 (ERK8; ERK7) expression and specific GCT subtypes, with the highest levels found in the aggressive embryonal carcinomas (EC).
