Physiological intracranial calcification occurs in about 0.3-1.5% of cases. It is asymptomatic and detected incidentally by neuroimaging. Pathological basal ganglia calcification is due to various causes, such as: metabolic disorders, infectious and genetic diseases. Hemophilia of orbit.

Hemophilic pseudotumor is an uncommon complication of factor VIII and IX deficiencies in the coagulation cascade and occurs in a wide spectrum of bones and soft tissues. We present a six-year-old boy with hemophilic pseudotumor localized in the right orbit. He showed a favorable response to radiation therapy after unsuccessful treatment with factor VIII replacement therapy with no recurrence till eight months. Radiotherapy in the treatment of pseudotumors in hemophiliacs should be strongly considered, particularly in severely affected patients who do not respond to conservative therapy.

Agranulocyosis in Beta Thalassemia Major Patients treated with Oral Iron Chelating Agent (Deferiprone).

Deferiprone is an oral chelating agent that has been recently shown to reduce cardiac siderosis, but is also known to be associated with serious side effects like agranulocytosis which can be fatal. This report is a single centre experience of 5 cases with severe agranulocytosis in amongst 144 patients (3.47%) of thalassemia major on combined chelation therapy with subcutaneous desferrioxamine and oral deferiprone which is much higher than the previous reports.

Unusual presentation of chronic idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.

We are reporting, what we believe, is the first case of biopsy proven exogenous lipoid pneumonia in an Omani infant. Exogenous lipoid pneumonia is caused by aspiration of oily products .One reason is the traditional practice of giving infants oily products (Ghee) as in our patient.
