Keratosis lichenoides chronica (KLC) is a rare dermatological condition characterized by keratotic papules arranged in a parallel linear or reticular pattern and facial lesions resembling seborrheic dermatitis or rosacea. The clinical, histological and therapeutic information on 71 patients with KLC retrieved through a PubMed search plus one our new case were analyzed. We report a case of a 34-year-old male who presented with an acute onset of pleomorphic psychiatric features. Upon examination we later diagnosed him with Gorlin-Goltz syndrome based on clinical and radiological findings that are characteristic for this rare autosomal dominant syndrome. Cyclosporine has been reported to be effective for the treatment of various cutaneous autoimmune disorders in dogs. Adverse reactions have generally been limited to gastrointestinal tract disturbances and cutaneous eruptions. The article describes antimicrobial-responsive cutaneous reactions in 3 dogs being treated with microemulsified cyclosporine A because of various dermatologic conditions. Cutaneous reactions in these dogs were similar to psoriasiform-lichenoid dermatitis and may represent an atypical staphylococcal infection.

PURPOSE: To investigate the curative effects of thermal water and thermal muds in various cutaneous pathologies.
PATIENTS AND METHODS: Modifications of phmetry and sebometry using sulphur thermal muds in normal, dry and seborrheic skin have been studied. The three groups of patients have been submitted to a 14 day treatment with thermal muds.
RESULT: The application of thermal mud normalized the value of cutaneous pH and sebometry.
CONCLUSIONS: These beneficial effects are long-lasting in individuals who have a prolonged treatment with thermal muds.
