A 62-year-old man with a soft, non-tender, movable mass 2.5 x 2.5-cm in diameter in the volar surface of the right index finger over the proximal phalanx underwent Tc-99m RBC perfusion and blood-pool scintigraphy to evaluate the vascular nature and extent of the mass. BACKGROUND: Angioleiomyoma, a benign tumour composed of smooth muscle cells and thick-walled vessels, is expected to be very rare in the female genital tract. This study aimed to describe the clinicopathological features and treatment outcomes of angioleiomyoma in the female genital tract.
METHODS: We retrospectively reviewed 89 women with angioleiomyoma in the genital tract who were treated at Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University between July 2008 and October 2023. Symptom remission rate was the primary outcome of the study.

PURPOSE: Angiomyomatous hamartoma (AH) of the lymph node is a rare vascular benign disease of unknown etiology with a predisposition for the lymph nodes of the inguinal area. BACKGROUND: Angioleiomyoma is a very rare benign solitary soft tissue neoplasm originating from smooth muscle layer of blood vessels. The tumor is usually located in the subcutis or the superficial fasciae, but less often in the deep fasciae, especially rare in the knee joint cavity. Diagnosis is frequently delayed or misdiagnosed as loose body or anterior knee pain because of its rare occurrence and poor awareness of physicians. Few studies have presented intra-articular angioleiomyoma and such cases become rarer and more difficult to diagnose when it presents as loose body.

We present a new case of angioleiomyoma, with detailed preoperative magnetic resonance imaging and digital subtraction angiography studies. A 36-year-old man was referred to our hospital for headache and diplopia. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed a large tumor located in the right cavernous sinus, and it was resected subtotally. The residual tumor was treated with CyberKnife, which, to our knowledge, is the first use of CyberKnife treatment for intracranial angioleiomyoma. At 20 months postoperatively, the size of the residual tumor had been reduced.

Clonal karyotypic alterations of a uterine angioleiomyoma of a 41-year-old woman are reported. Cytogenetically a stemline of the tumor and two related subclones with additional abnormalities due to karyotypic evolution were identified: 46,X,t(X;11)(p11.4;p15)/46, idem,inv(2)(p15q13)/46, idem,inv(2)(p15q13),t(5;20)(q13;q13.2).
