BACKGROUND: The aim of this study was to describe the proficiency of ChatGPT (GPT-4) on certification style exams from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), and describe its performance across multiple exam attempts.
METHODS: ChatGPT was prompted with questions from CAMRT practice exams in the disciplines of radiological technology, magnetic resonance (MRI), nuclear medicine and radiation therapy (87-98 questions each). Little has been published regarding postgraduate assessments during the COVID-19 pandemic. There is an urgent need to graduate well-trained specialists including family physicians who play a key role in patient care. The successes and challenges encountered in mounting qualifying 2020 Family Medicine examinations during the COVID-19 pandemic at the University of the West Indies are described in this paper. Human resource, planning, use of technology and virtual environments are discussed, which enabled successful examinations at this multicampus regional site.

PURPOSE: Anti-seizure medications (ASM) can lower the efficacy of hormonal birth control (BC), while estrogen-containing BC can increase ASM metabolism, altering seizure frequency. Despite these adverse interactions, many youth with epilepsy demonstrate inadequate knowledge about this topic. We describe a training programme designed to instruct radiographers how to perform the double contrast barium enema (DCBE). The programme was assessed by comparing the first 50 unsupervised examinations with studies performed by senior registrars in radiology.
