INTRODUCTION: In CO2 laser myringotomy, a self-healing perforation is typically created in the lower anterior quadrant. A prominent anterior meatal wall may cover that quadrant and necessitate dorsal perforation of the eardrum. In eyes with retinal detachment and a horseshoe break, vitreous traction on the retina has been relieved by severing the flap of the break with the aid of the Q-switched Nd:YAG laser. The retina often flattens in eyes with shallow retinal detachment after this treatment; the breaks then can be sealed off with argon laser. In cases of retinal detachment treated with expanding gas, fewer recurrences were observed when vitreous traction had been relieved by Nd:YAG laser treatment.

The aim of this study is to evaluate current anaesthetic practice for retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) interventions in the UK. We collected the data from the 12-month prospective British Ophthalmic Surveillance Unit study carried out in 2013/2014 that were analysed with regard to type of anaesthesia used for primary ROP procedures and the hospital department in which treatment took place. CASE REPORT: A twenty three year old woman was diagnosed of a morning glory papillary anomaly, then with normal visual acuity (VA). Nine years later, the VA decreased to 0.4, secondary to a serous macular detachment, confirmed by optical coherence tomography (OCT). After treatment with C2F6 gas injection, positioning, and peripapillary laser, the VA improved to 0.7 and the foveolar area reattached.

Laser therapy is a key acne treatment, yet no bibliometric study has integrated advanced metrics, co-word dynamics, keyword clustering, and citation analysis of the top 100 papers. Three Scopus search strategies were used, and the top 100 most cited papers were analyzed for descriptive statistics and citation impact.
